여유 (Leisure)

What is this life if, full of care,

그것이 무슨 인생인가?, 근심으로 가득 차

We have no time to stand and stare.

잠시 멈춰 서 바라볼 시간조차 없다면.

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep or cow.

나뭇가지 아래서 양과 소의 순수한 눈길로

펼쳐진 풍경을 차분히 바라볼 시간이 없다면

 

No time to see, when woods we pass ,

숲를 지나면서, 수풀 속에 도토리를 숨기는

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

작은 다람쥐들을 바라볼 시간이 없다면.

No time to see, in broad daylight,

한낮에도 마치 밤하늘처럼 반짝이는 별들을

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

가득 품은 시냇물을 바라볼 시간이 없다면

 

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,

아름다운 여인의 다정한 눈길에 고개를 돌려,

And watch her feet, how they can dance.

춤추는 그 고운 발을 바라볼 시간이 없다면.

No time to wait till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

눈가에서 시작된 그녀의 환한 미소가

입가로 번질 때까지 기다릴 시간이 없다면.

​

A poor life this is , full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

얼마나 가여운 인생인가, 근심으로 가득 차
잠시 멈춰 서 바라볼 시간조차 없다면.

​
